NEW REALITY IN TRANSPORT & LOGISTICS

The transport and logistics sector has faced a number of challenges in recent years. The Covid 19 pandemic, the war in Ukraine, energy crises, and economic recession have disrupted business as usual. Today, governments and businesses are applying new solutions and implement changes to adapt to this new reality and built a resilient, effective and sustainable transport and logistics economy.

The 5th Transport Innovation Forum aims to reflect the changing business models and future trends. The event will bring together public authorities and private companies to discuss and share their views and ideas on how to drive this sector towards innovative and effective transport logistics chains in Europe and beyond. Secure, resilient, climate-neutral and paperless transport is the driving force, which impacts cargo movements across the globe.

This year, Transport Innovation Forum will be opened by HE President of the Republic of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda and Mr. Marius Skuodis, Minister of Transport and Communications of Lithuania, together with high level representatives of European Commission. The Forum will host the Ministerial session of the “3 Seas” initiative, which will create a precedent for further cooperation among Baltic, Adriatic and Black seas in the new era of smart and green transport solutions.

Representatives of OECD, World bank, EIT Urban Mobility and other international organizations’, as well as business leaders from “Scania”, “Shell”, “DKV Mobility”, “ZF Group”, “Girteka”, “cargoGO Logistics”, Microsoft, industry leading Start-ups, research institutions and many others will share their knowledge and experience. Event attendees will have the opportunity to participate in numerous sessions, debates, the high-level Green Mobility and Transportation Awards, a Start-up pitch session, and an exhibition area, and will have unlimited opportunities for networking.

KEY FIGURES AND FACTS ABOUT THE TRANSPORT INNOVATION FORUM 2022:

Last year, this event, organized by the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania and the Lithuanian Transport Innovation Association hosted political and corporate leaders and attracted a record high number of participants and speakers from around the world: The Transport Innovation Forum was opened by the President of Lithuania, Mr. Virginijus Sinkevičius, European Comissioner for the Environment and Fisheries, key note presentations were given by high level representatives from OECD and International Energy Agency, the C-level executives from Scania, MSC, Einride, „Google“ and many others. Ministers and Vice-Ministers of Transport sector of Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia participated in the discussions of restoring logistics chains in Europe.

More than 70 speakers, innovators and their clients shared their experiences at the event, strategic plans were presented by representatives of state institutions and international organizations from 14 different countries.

The Forum was attended live by almost 700 representatives of the transport and logistics sector (top and middle level managers and experts). In total, more than 120 000 people joined the event`s online broadcast on „Delfi“ portal and our platform.
