ADMIRAL Showcases AI-Driven Sustainable Logistics Solutions at the Transport Innovation Forum 2025
On 15–16 October 2025, the Transport Innovation Forum – the largest event in the Baltics for transport and logistics professionals – took place at Litexpo, Vilnius, bringing together leaders from government, business, research, and startups to explore the future of mobility and logistics.
Organised by the Transport Innovation Association in partnership with the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Lithuania, the Forum addressed the major transformations shaping the sector today: from geopolitical shifts and rapid technological change to the urgent need for decarbonisation and resilience in transport systems.
ADMIRAL Session: “Sustainable Logistics – Harnessing AI, Digitalisation and Decarbonisation for the Future”
ADMIRAL and its partners took centre stage with a dedicated session powered by the project, focusing on how AI, digitalisation, and data-driven innovation are enabling the transition toward low-emission, efficient, and sustainable logistics.
Speakers from across the ADMIRAL consortium and the European logistics ecosystem shared insights and results from ongoing research and pilot activities:
Ieva Markucevičiūtė-Vinckė (MC Baltics / Lithuanian Centre for Social Sciences): Digitalisation and CO₂ Data: Key Trends Defining the Future
Karno Tenovuo (Awake.AI): AI and Sustainable Logistics: Driving the Next Wave of Transformation
Ville Hinkka (VTT): Sustainable Logistics in Action – Key Insights from the ADMIRAL Project and Pilots
Dr. Miglė Panasenkienė (Transport Innovation Association) and Dainius Berškys (Trevio): Towards Emission-Aware Logistics in Road Transport – Findings from the Lithuanian Pilot
Karno Tenovuo (Awake.AI): ADMIRAL Advanced Multimodal Marketplace for Low-Emission Transport
The session highlighted how ADMIRAL’s innovative multimodal marketplace and AI-driven logistics tools are contributing to decarbonisation and digital transformation in freight transport. Participants explored how real-world pilot activities – including the Lithuanian pilot – demonstrate the feasibility of emission-aware routing, improved data interoperability, and smarter decision-making for logistics operators.
Driving the Future of Green and Intelligent Logistics
With key topics at the Forum ranging from AI and cybersecurity to sustainable transport and green hydrogen, ADMIRAL’s contributions stood out as a practical example of how European research and innovation are driving systemic change across the logistics sector.
By connecting technology providers, policymakers, and logistics companies, ADMIRAL continues to support Europe’s transition toward a resilient, digital, and climate-neutral transport system.
